Hi Families,
This should give you a general idea about what is coming up
in our Guide unit over the next couple of months.
September 11 – First meeting (yay!!). Focus
will be on the You in Guiding program, including some get-to-know-you
activities. 3rd years (aka our Grade 6 Guides) will start a special
project that will go towards work on the Lady Baden Powell Challenge.
September 18 – Meeting cancelled due to Meet the
Teacher Night at SMPS.
September 25 – You in Guiding program and
Knots 101. Guides should also take a look through their program book and pick
the top 5 badges they would like to work on as a group this year. We’ll try our
best to cover off the most popular of them.
September 27-28 – CAMP!!!
October 3 – Door-to-door cookie sales.
October 9 – Work on You in Guiding, the
Cookies Rising badge, and planning for enrollment.
October 16 – Enrollment!
October 23 – Outdoors in the City badge: We’ll be meeting in Manotick for an urban hike (rain or shine!). Details to follow.
October 30 – Halloween Party!!
