Hi Families,
Just a reminder that we are
having our Halloween party this week! The Guides are invited to wear costumes if they
like (no weapons, etc. please). Please also bring a reusable mug for hot
chocolate.
Our Nov. 5 meeting will be dedicated to
our Global Challenge badge work. We will first have a representative from Elimu
to talk with the girls about its school initiatives in Kenya (see: http://www.elimu.ca). As
part of this visit we will be collecting donations for the school, a list of
which can be found below. Our visitor will also have handmade beaded keychains
for sale that evening ($5 each), if anyone is interested. Proceeds will go to
the Charity.
That evening we will also have
the Guides put together some boxes for Operation Christmas Child
(see: http://samaritanspurse.ca/operation-christmas-child.aspx
). Any items you may have to donate to the boxes would also be welcome. The
Guides loved packing the boxes last year!
